Join Kennett Library for a celebration under the stars on May 3 from 6:00-9:30 PM.

The Starlight Soirée will celebrate the new Kennett Library and the first annual fundraising event for innovative programming and operations.

Chris Manna, Executive Director of Kennett Library, said, “The first fundraising soirée in the new library is our way of showing the community our vision of how we reach for the stars. We hope to spotlight many of our partnerships, how we serve the community, and what comes next. We hope to see you there!”

The night will include a silent auction of unique experiences, live music by Dub C Swing, food by Talula’s Table, wine from Wayvine Winery & Vineyard, makerspace activities, and stargazing on the Melton Terrace.

A sampling of auction items includes a local sightseeing flight with a professional pilot, five nights at Villa Kai on Anguilla Island, a stay in Ocean City near the boardwalk, an insider tour of Longwood Gardens, and dinner for eight with Chef Massi Riccio.

Tickets are $150 per person and are available in the library or online. Sponsorships are also available. All proceeds will benefit new and innovative programming and operations at Kennett Library.
