Harleysville’s Quarry Hill Farm is now offering one of the world’s most sought-after culinary treasures: Wagyu beef, renowned for its exceptional marbling and flavor, writes Marilyn Johnson for PhillyBite.  

Under the vision of 68-year-old real estate developer David Perlman and his family, who acquired the century-old farm in 2021, the farm aims to supply ethically raised, high-quality beef, pork, poultry, and eggs to the local community, with all profits aiding the hungry in the region.  

Quarry Hill stands out due to its organic, pasture-raised farming practices and prioritizing high-quality Wagyu genetics, producing both full-blood and crossbreed Wagyu cattle.  

The farm’s commitment extends beyond premium beef, offering a variety of sustainably raised farm products, including Berkshire pork and pasture-raised poultry. 

Profits from sales are dedicated to fighting local hunger, with last year’s proceeds donated to Manna on Main Street, a local agency aimed at ending hunger in the North Penn area.
