Spring is in the air, and so is the opportunity to explore the world of theater with People’s Light. Registration is now open for various classes catering to all ages, from kindergarten to teen classes. Whether you’re a seasoned performer or just curious about the stage, there’s something for everyone at People’s Light.

For those in grades K-12, the spring theater classes offer a chance to dive into the world of drama and performance. Led by professional teaching artists in supportive rehearsal rooms, these classes aim to nurture curiosity and foster a sense of community among participants. With new projects, collaborators, and viewpoints introduced each week, there’s always something fresh and inspiring to look forward to.

Teenagers have the opportunity to participate in workshops led by industry professionals. These workshops focus on different aspects of theater, from musical theatre to acting and creation, and provide valuable insights and hands-on experience for young aspiring performers.

For students in grades 6-8, an exciting seven-week theater ensemble led by acclaimed actor and teaching artist David Pica awaits. This ensemble promises to explore the art of collaboration in a joyful and supportive environment, equipping students with the tools and techniques used by professional actors.

Younger performers in grades 3-5 can set out on an adventurous journey of play-making with performer, designer, and arts educator Tess Kunik. Through design challenges, story-building exercises, and creative movement, students will learn to think on their feet and unleash their creativity on stage.

Even the littlest aspiring actors in grades K-2 have their chance to shine with Kunik as they embark on a joyful quest into the world of storytelling. Through imaginative play and character building, these young performers will learn valuable communication skills while exploring the magic of theater.

While adult classes are not currently offered, they will return in future months. Please feel free to contact People’s Light to express your area of interest or to be added to our announcement list via mail or email. Whether you’re a seasoned actor or a complete novice, there’s a place for you in the vibrant community of theater enthusiasts at People’s Light.
