Mid Penn Bank Donates $50,000 to Habitat for Humanity

Mid Penn Bank recently presented a $50,000 donation to Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties.

Mid Penn Bank recently presented a $50,000 donation to Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties through the Pennsylvania Neighborhood Assistance Program (NAP).

The donation will be used to build four affordable homes for first-time homebuyers who qualify for the program.

Regional President Jared Utz presented the check to Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties’ CEO Keith Sterling. Sterling emphasized that donations from local businesses such as Mid Penn Bank are vital to getting inventory back into the marketplace for first-time homebuyers.

Since 1989, Habitat for Humanity of Montgomery and Delaware Counties has developed and sold newly constructed and rehabilitated homes to qualified families and individuals who live or work in Montgomery or Delaware Counties. Habitat for Humanity is committed to making homeownership attainable for all and to helping neighborhoods grow and thrive, building strength, stability and independence through homeownership.

The Neighborhood Assistance Program is a tax-credit program through the Pennsylvania Department of Community and Economic Development that encourages businesses to invest in projects across the commonwealth that will improve distressed areas, cultivating growth and development.
