Bridgeton, New Jersey, native Heather Grayberg is the Director of Programming and Development at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center, where she is responsible for curating and booking the entertainment, working with local and international artists,
and sourcing funding.

“I’m also the Artistic Director of one of Uptown’s resident companies, Revival Productions,” said Grayberg. “Through Revival, we are bringing live theatre to the Uptown stage!”

Grayberg’s love for entertainment and the arts started early. When she was 14, she worked as a co-choreographer for a musical at a local community theatre.

Grayberg attended Cumberland Regional High School in Seabrook, New Jersey. From there, she pursued a bachelor’s degree in
Musical Theatre from Westminster College of the Arts of Rider University. She also performed around the country professionally for several years before landing in Chester County while on a contract in Lancaster. Rounding out her education, Grayberg earned her master’s degree in Arts Management and Executive Leadership from Rider University in 2021 and is also a proud member of the Stage Directors and Choreographer’s Society.

“I’ve been a college professor, director, choreographer, and consultant and founded Revival Productions and Chester County School of the Arts,” she said. “I’ve had the privilege of directing and/or choreographing over 75 productions, from educational to professional productions.”

Grayberg credits her therapist, Sharie Neal, with having a great impact on her career.

“Since 2021, she has mentored me and empowered me to not apologize for or diminish who I am but to embrace the force of nature that God designed me to be,” said Grayberg. “She has helped me navigate the biggest challenges I’ve faced in my life to date and has pushed me to fully realize my potential.”

Over the course of her career, Grayberg is especially proud of securing a start-up grant of $30,000 in 2022 to begin a subsidiary financial aid program for students at Chester County School of the Arts. This program provides arts education to families who otherwise may not be able to afford these opportunities.

“This accomplishment will transcend through the lives of many for the rest of their lives, and I do not take that lightly,” said Grayberg.

Grayberg’s favorite Chester County restaurant is Sedona Taphouse.

Grayberg and the rest of the 2024 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars will be honored at the Awards Reception & Celebration on Thursday, May 9 at Penn State Great Valley, Malvern.
