‘You Gotta Know Philly – My Hometown Edition,’ New Trivia Game Tests Folks’ Knowledge of the City
A new game has hit the market that tests individuals’ knowledge of Philadelphia, reports Brian Taff for 6abc.
The game is called, You Gotta Know Philly Trivia Game – My Hometown Edition.
According to ‘You Gotta Know Games’ president Tony Hoffman, the company has written 35 different versions of the game, geared at major markets across America.
Each game features hundreds of city-specific questions that are designed to test how well the player knows their hometown.
Hoffman highlighted that “without question” Philadelphia has been the number one market for the game.
“It dwarfs places like Boston, New York, and Washington,” he noted.
The makers of the game did a deep dive into Philadelphia’s history and culture to come up with about 500 questions spanning various topics.
Some of the questions are sure to stump even the most devoted Philadelphia fans and historians.
This isn’t the first game that the company has released.
Other Philly-centric games previously released by the company include “You Gotta Know Philly Sports Trivia Game” and “Philadelphia Against the World Sports Trivia Game.”
