Eagles’ Brandon Graham Visits Downingtown East High, Talks Football and Life to Students
Philadelphia Eagles player Brandon Graham recently visited Downingtown East High School, where he talked to students about football and life, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News.
The player answered questions, signed hundreds of footballs, helmets, and jerseys, and posed for pictures. And while students did the famous Eagles chant in the Robert A. Boyer Gymnasium, Graham joyfully flapped his arms like a bird.
The visit was part of the program hosted by the Downingtown Area School District’s Department of Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion.
The first question of the day was, unsurprisingly, regarding Graham’s role in the Eagles 2018 Super Bowl win.
“What was it like after you had the strip sack of Tom Brady?” asked a student to the cheers of the entire audience.
“I just couldn’t believe it happened to somebody like him,” said Graham, referring to the famed quarterback. “It still feels good.”
Later in the visit, he talked about having dreams and sticking to them.
“Don’t let anybody talk you out of your dreams,” he said. “You’ve got to believe in your dreams. I believe in the dream so much. I need you all to believe in the dream.”
