The Haven Social, a coastal-inspired BYOB opened at the end of last year by husband-and-wife duo Tim Bolt and Mary Schleuter, is a true hidden gem in Landenberg, writes Caroline Roosevelt for the Chester County Press.
The new eatery has had a tremendously successful start and the owners have already had to change their requirements for reservation to six people and more due to high demand.
The interior has lush green couches that pair perfectly with the dark wood bar with the arched windows behind it.
Among its unique features, the restaurant’s BYOB policy allows patrons to bring both the usual wine and beer, and their own liquor. The spirits can be paired with one of the many available mocktails expertly created by Schleuter.
Some of the popular food offerings include delicious caviar deviled eggs and a lobster-shrimp roll. The restaurant also has a raw bar with oysters, shrimp cocktails, and yellowfin tuna tartar. The sides are just as tasty and include everything from fries and crispy brussels to mac ‘n cheese and coleslaw. Meanwhile, the Nutty Buddy Smash pie is the perfect dessert dish.
