Starting in fall 2024, Immaculata University is adding a Master of Science in Criminal Justice to its offerings of career-oriented advanced degrees.

The new 30-credit online program focuses on the theoretical and practical applications of the study of criminology and the criminal justice field. Topics covered include behavioral analytics, cybercrime, forensics, homeland security, policing, community relations, sociology, and the American legal system.

According to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, the criminal justice field is expected to grow by 4 percent through 2029. Professionals with a master’s degree can make $20,000 to $30,000 more annually, with the average salaries ranging from $61,930 for a crime laboratory analyst, $86,766 for an emergency management specialist, and over $100,000 for a Pennsylvania police chief.

Immaculata’s fully online program consists of seven-week courses that allow students to complete the ten courses in five semesters. The competitively priced tuition is among the lowest of regional universities with similar criminal justice master’s programs.
