Philadelphia Magazine has published its latest 50 Best Restaurants in Philadelphia list that highlights the most intriguing, clever, unconventional, and groundbreaking local dining experiences, write Kae Lani Palmisano, Regan Fletcher Stephens, Jason Sheehan, and Maddy Sweitzer-Lammé for the publication.
Here are some of the selections.
Friday Saturday Sunday in Rittenhouse Square features a downstairs bar with briny oysters and cocktails, and an upstairs space with an eight-course menu.
Kalaya, the sleek and James Beard Award-winning Thai restaurant in Fishtown offers tom yum and shaw muang flower dumplings that are works of art in themselves.
Royal Izakaya, the hard-to-reserve omakase in Queen Village, is the culmination of Jesse Ito’s lifetime dedicated to the art of sushi.
Her Place Supper Club in Rittenhouse is one of the representatives of New American cuisine on the list. Amanda Shulman rightfully earned national praise over her supper-club-style restaurant, in part thanks to the delicious crab salad served under a mountain of caviar.
