The Philadelphia region is home to many great bagel shops thanks to the recent beagle renaissance, and one of the best among them is in Phoenixville, write Alexandra Jones, Maddy Sweitzer-Lammé, and Sarah Maiellano for the Philadelphia Magazine. 

Unlike many other local shops that focus on serving Philadelphia-style bagels, Sweet Brew Cafe serves the real New York version. While owners Jamie and Michael Weiss started by selling their roasted coffee online, they sought to fill a need in Phoenixville, which turned out to be bagels.

Michael grew up eating New York bagels, and now he has them delivered daily directly from a baker in Long Island. 

Some of the favorites include a classic everything with scallion cream cheese and a jalapeño red pepper bagel with jalapeño cheddar cream cheese – which is guaranteed to properly kickstart your morning! Their menu rotates weekly sometimes and they always have new and interesting cream cheese and bagel combinations to try.
