Ten Towns Have the Most Expensive Homes in Chester County

As Chester County is one of the most popular places to live in the state, these towns have some of the most expensive homes.

Chester County is home to ten towns that are among the top 30 places with the most expensive homes in Pennsylvania, according to a recently released ranking by Stacker.

To compile the list, Stacker used data from Zillow. Places are ranked based on the Zillow Home Values Index for all homes as of November 2023.

Once again, Devon took the top spot statewide with a median home value of $855,415. This represents a one-year increase in value of 10.3 percent and a five-year increase of 44.6 percent.

Berwyn is in second place with a median home value of $837,058, a one-year value increase of 6.8 percent, and a five-year increase of 42 percent.

Malvern ranked at No. 7 with a typical home value of $704,237. Chester Springs also made the top ten at No. 9 with an average home value of $677,431.

Other towns that made the list are Glenmoore at No. 18 ($590,217), West Chester at No. 19 ($583,739), Paoli at No. 21 ($558,994), Kennett Square at No. 22 ($558,082), Avondale at No. 24 ($550,140), and Exton at No. 26 ($543,684).
