1547 wants to build a data center in Chester County.

fifteenfortyseven Critical Systems Realty (1547) is in the process of developing a new hyperscale data center in Chester County.

1547 is a developer, operator, and owner of highly-interconnected, custom-designed data centers throughout North America and Europe.

Its latest project is a joint development with Malvern-based Green Fig Land Company, which purchased the 100-acre property along with 1547 two years ago. The project envisions a data center spanning up to 2 million square feet.

The development site has an initial commitment of 290 MW of power from the local provider. This includes access to carbon-free power capabilities which will be available by 2025-2026. Green energy solutions that will be implemented on-site include rooftop solar generating up to 7 MW and be potentially scalable to 25 MW.

“What makes this location optimal for hyperscale development, besides the power capacity and carbon-free power capabilities we offer, is also the financial incentives,” said John Bonczek, Chief Revenue Officer for 1547. “Chester County has some of the best incentives available for large-scale computer infrastructure deployments including the fact that we qualify for the state’s sales tax that applies to all data center developments and includes all construction equipment, materials, data center furnishings, fit-out, and IT equipment.”

The company plans to plant 4,000 trees to positively impact the local environment.
