Aqua Pennsylvania is replacing approximately 7,000 feet of aging water mains in Tredyffrin and East Goshen townships. The company is upgrading cast iron water mains with new ductile iron water mains, which are more durable and comprised of nearly 90 percent recycled metal materials.

This investment is part of Aqua’s continuing infrastructure improvement program to replace decades-old water and wastewater infrastructure around the country. The new water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and will improve water flow for customers throughout Chester County

In East Goshen Township, crews are replacing 4,900 feet of aging 6-inch water main on the following streets:

  • Reservoir Road between East Strasburg Road and Baldwin Drive
  • Cooper Circle between Reservoir Road and Reservoir Road

Crews are also working in Tredyffrin Township to replace 2,100 feet of aging 8-inch water main. The work is taking place on:

  • Joseph Drive between Thomas Jefferson and Weedon roads
  • Weedon Road between Thomas Jefferson and Gulph roads

Aqua’s main replacement work contributes to the company’s overarching commitment to provide quality, reliable drinking water and safe wastewater solutions to customers.
