Looking for something to do on holiday break? The Chester County History Center will host a new family event, “Have a Ball!,” on Saturday, Dec. 30, from 11 AM to 3 PM.

Nestled in the heart of Chester County, the History Center is a hub of rich historical exploration. Families attending the event will not only experience the joy of ringing in the New Year but also have the chance to immerse themselves in the region’s captivating history. Children can look forward to crafting their own party kits, including the creation of party hats, noisemakers, resolutions, and engaging in other entertaining crafts and games with a New Year theme.

To sweeten the celebration, children will also have the opportunity to decorate a cookie, generously provided by The Master’s Baker in West Chester, to enjoy as a delightful treat either when the ball drops on Dec. 31 or right away if their appetites are eager.

Tickets for this immersive experience are priced at $10 per person, encompassing the cost of a cookie, cookie decorating materials, and all crafts. In addition, the ticket provides all-day access to the museum and exhibits, including the popular hands-on History Lab.

As an added benefit, CCHC members can enjoy a 20 percent discount on the ticket price, and membership details are readily available on the History Center’s website.
