Looking For Ways to Celebrate Hanukkah in Philadelphia? Here Are Some Ideas

This year, Hanukkah will run from Dec. 7 through Dec. 15, and there is no shortage of events taking place in Philadelphia to celebrate the holiday, writes Visit Philadelphia.

On the first day of Hanukkah on Dec. 7, there will be a Menorah Lighting at The Singing Foundation in South Philadelphia.

Before and after the lighting ceremony, attendees will be able to enjoy revelry, music, shopping, and various other festive activities. 

On Saturday, Dec. 9 at 6 PM there will be a Hanukkah party and concert at Weitzman National Museum of American Jewish History

The following day on Dec. 10 from 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM, the Please Touch Museum will offer a selection of holiday events.

From 4-5 PM that day, the Old City Jewish Arts Center will host a sunset Community Menorah Lighting & Hanukkah Celebration at the history Betsy Ross House

Also on Sunday, Kol Tzedek synagogue in West Philadelphia will celebrate its 18th anniversary with its annual Hanukkah Party. 

The penultimate day on Dec. 14 will see The Chevra group team up with hundreds of young Jewish Philly professionals and graduate students for the city’s largest Hanukkah fest in Rittenhouse Square.
