The Corrado family goes all out each year to decorate their East Bradford yard and collect gifts for those who are spending their Christmas in a hospital, writes Bill Rettew for The Daily Local News.

This year, cancer survivor Jerry Corrado and his wife, Joan, plan to make the display bigger and better than ever. They are currently blowing up 24 seasonal inflatables in front of their home. These new additions include a nine-and-a-half-foot-tall Santa and new flashing trees. Some old favorites will also be there, including reindeer, dragons, and dinosaurs.

The Corrados put up their lights for the first time in 2000, and ever since the display expands each year. At the suggestion of their daughter, Amanda Morgera, they began collecting new toys to donate to local hospitals.

The first year they collected 250 toys. Last year, that number rose to 4,000 toys and adult items for the emergency room and other patients. Their display is incredibly popular throughout the region.

“People come from all over,” said neighbor Dick Jenkins. “The ultimate satisfaction is when everything lights up and works.”
