West Chester area residents looking for fresh Christmas trees have plenty of options to choose not far from home, whether you prefer to cut down your own tree or simply buy it from a retail lot, writes Holly Herman for Patch.

There are several local farms where people can choose and cut their trees, something that has become a tradition for many families.

“All kinds of people love and put up real Christmas trees,” said Marsha Gray, executive director of the Real Christmas Tree Board. “But the sweet spot is those in their family-raising and memory-making years.”

To get your tree, head to Yeager’s Farm and Market in Phoenixville, Adams Christmas Tree Farm in Elverson, Marsh Creek Tree Farm in Elverson, or Westlake Tree Farms in nearby Pottstown.

However, if you would rather have a pre-cut tree, Home Depot locations in Downingtown and Frazer and Lowes of East Caln Township are the places to look.
