Mid Penn Bank is continuing its partnership with the Pennsylvania Breast Cancer Coalition.

On October 17, Mid Penn Bank President/CEO and PBCC Board Member Rory Ritrievi attended the organization’s 30th Anniversary Conference and presented PBCC with a $100,000 donation from funds raised by the 2023 Mid Penn Bank Celebrity Golf Classic, which took place in July.

The conference began with a Pink Party on Monday evening to celebrate cancer survivors and PBCC grassroots partners.

The organization awarded the Mid Penn Bank Shining Light Award to ‘Rally For the Cure’. The Mid Penn Bank Shining Light Award is presented annually for community grassroots leadership in the field of breast cancer research, education, outreach and advocacy.

Since 2018, ‘Rally For the Cure’ has raised $110,000 for the PA Breast Cancer Coalition.

“I could not be more proud to serve on the board of this wonderful organization and to support its mission and work, which, ultimately, is to find a cure for breast cancer now so that our daughters don’t have to,” said Ritrievi

To support their mission, the PBCC has contributed nearly $5 million to researchers in Pennsylvania and has advocated for legislation that would provide screening and treatment to women with breast cancer. It also provides support and resources to newly diagnosed women.

This is the eighth year that the Bank has raised money for the PBCC through its annual Celebrity Golf Classic.

This year, the fundraiser brought together more than 60 celebrities and sponsors passionate about raising awareness and advocating for increased funding for research, legislative advocacy, and high-quality screening, diagnosis, and treatment of breast cancer.
