New Director of Chester County-Based i2n Has Big Plans for Organization’s Future
Matt Cabrey, the new director of the Chester County-based Ideas x Innovation Network, or i2n, has big plans for the organization’s future, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.
i2n is a public-private partnership initiated by the Chester County Economic Development Council with the aim of supporting early-stage and technology-driven companies over their entire life cycle.
As the new director, Cabrey has two primary goals.
“I want to elevate the brand awareness of i2n and work to have an impact across all of Southeastern Pennsylvania,” he said. “We want to make i2n a more recognizable entity.”
The organization was first established 12 years ago with a primary role to administer tax credits to companies that were under the Keystone Innovation Zone program. Over time, the scope of i2n’s work has expanded into other funding areas.
Cabrey said i2n’s focus will be to support medical technology and other technology companies through the use of its four buckets of “funding, workplace, targeted guidance and mentoring, and strategic networking and connections.”
The organization also recently brought in Gino Bradica to serve as its director of technology entrepreneurship.
