Local Health Care Leader Leslie Storms Reflects on Journey from Delco to DePuy

Delaware County native Leslie Storms credits her first big break starting at Johnson & Johnson which led to her leadership at DePuy Synthes.

Delaware County native Leslie Storms credits her first big break starting at Johnson & Johnson which among her 15-year tenure, propelled her into being the first woman president of DePuy Synthes U.S., writes Lisa Dukart for the Philadelphia Business Journal.  

The Johnson & Johnson subsidiary, which has offices in West Chester, is a $9 billion orthopedics company.  

Her resume boasts of years leadership in the healthcare industry, including the role of president at Ethicon U.S. and vice president of eye health integration at Johnson & Johnson vision. Storm says that her proudest accomplishment is helping other people with their careers.  

As a woman in STEM, she is passionate about seeing other women become leaders in the field. She’s the board advisor for the non-profit MedExecWomen that aims to support women who hold spots in the C-Suite.  

Storms, who describes herself as candid, credits her strong-willed mother as being the most influential person in her career. She said that she shares the trials and tribulations she’s faced in the workplace to uplift other women.
