Pope John Paul II overcomes deficit and Phoenixville Area

Pope John Paul II trailed at the end of the first quarter before rallying for a 38-21 win over Phoenixville Area in a Pennsylvania high school football matchup on Oct. 21.

The start wasn’t the problem for Phoenixville Area, as it began with a 7-0 edge over Pope John Paul II through the end of the first quarter.

The Golden Panthers kept a 23-14 intermission margin at the Phantoms’ expense.

Pope John Paul II and Phoenixville Area each scored in the third quarter.

The Golden Panthers held on with an 8-0 scoring edge in the fourth quarter.

In recent action on Oct. 13, Pope John Paul II faced off against Pottstown and Phoenixville Area took on Upper Perkiomen on Oct. 13 at Upper Perkiomen High School.
