The Eagle Scout Award is the highest rank a youth can achieve in Scouting.

A youth who has earned the Eagle rank will have all of the fundamental outdoor skills and be proficient in camping, hiking, cooking and first aid.

They will have earned at least 21 merit badges that symbolize knowledge and achievement. They will also have held leadership positions and participated in numerous community service projects, one of which they personally planned and directed.

More importantly, the lessons of discipline, character and service learned in earning this highest honor will last a lifetime.

The 2022 Class of Eagle Scouts at Chester County Council, Boys Scouts of America completed 153 projects across the county. Together they contributed over 26,137 hours of service.

The map below outlines many of these community enhancement locations and the Scout that has lead a group of volunteers to complete a need in the county.

They have planted trees, crafted benches and picnic tables at parks, built little libraries, planter boxes, built and installed three 911 signs at Riverside Park and so much more.

If you have seen any of these projects, you might not have known they were made possible because an Eagle Scout fundraised and led a group of volunteers to complete these projects that make our communities a better place to live.
