Happy October! Pennsylvania has plenty of spooky and haunted towns to check out this Halloween, and one of them is in Chester County, writes Eric Henderson for PhillyBite Magazine.

Famous for the 1958 horror film The Blob, Phoenixville is the perfect spooky place to visit this month. With plenty of events including Bridgetoberfest and the Fall Festival, the town landed at No. 9 on the list.

The Phoenixville Chamber of Commerce has partnered with Sly Fox Brewing Company to bring a German-style extravaganza to the area starting on Oct. 6. As a fall staple, Bridgetoberfest welcomes those who love to have a good time and drink beer, all while participating in contests, raffle prizes, and more.

Details for this year’s Fall Festival are still in the works, but from last year’s schedule, the events included cemetery tours, a night market, and family fun with Trunk or Treat.

Additionally, Phoenixville has ghost tours available to learn more about the history and mystery that surrounds the town.
