Midway Arches in Coatesville is now renamed The Arches after a transformation.

A new name has been chosen for one of the region’s premier wedding and event venues. Midway Arches is now The Arches

“The new name reflects the wider audience that we have been attracting, not only from Coatesville but also the Philly metro area and surrounding states,” said Jane Darnell, Managing Director at The Arches.

The stunning two-story venue is located at the former St. Cecilia’s church that served as a pillar of the Coatesville community for more than 150 years. The Arches embraces the church’s grandeur with soaring ceilings, intricately carved arches, and striking stained glass windows.

Offering more than 4,000 square feet of historical charm, the unique venue provides indoor and outdoor spaces for meetings, events, and weddings for up to 170 guests. Amenities include two private suites, tables and seating, a wrap-around porch and kitchenette, and free parking. The Arches has been named among the most gorgeous historic wedding venues in the Philadelphia region by Philadelphia Wedding

“Our mission is to take the stress and worry out of hosting the perfect event,” said Darnell. “Beyond our uniquely beautiful facility, we offer a team of dedicated event specialists to help ensure events are everything our clients and guests imagine. While clients are always welcome to work with their own vendors, we know they can count on our recommended professionals to be talented, creative, responsive, and reliable.”

In July 2020, after sitting vacant for more than a decade, the property was purchased jointly by Crosby Wood, Principal of New Heritage Properties, and DBL Impact. After an extensive remodel, including interior design provided by wedding photographer Beth Elvanian, the first event—a wedding—was held in May 2021.

The Arches has curated a list of trusted service providers including preferred caterers, event planners, florists, photographers, videographers, and more.

“We are grateful for Crosby Wood’s leadership throughout the stunning transformation of St. Cecilia’s into The Arches. His vision and involvement have been vital for our success,” said Darnell.

The Arches is accepting bookings for weddings, cocktail parties, meetings, and other events. Learn more about The Arches or schedule a private tour at the website or email Jane@midwayarches.com
