Aqua Pennsylvania has recently completed a $1.3 million infrastructure project to replace approximately 5,800 feet of aging water main in Westtown Township. The company upgraded a 6-inch cast iron water main with a new 8-inch ductile iron water main, which is more durable and comprised of nearly 90 percent recycled metal materials.  

This investment is part of Aqua’s continuing infrastructure improvement program to replace decades-old water and wastewater infrastructure around the country. The new water main will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and will improve water flow for customers throughout Chester County. 

Crews completed the work on the following streets: 

• Spring Line Drive between South New Street and Jacqueline Drive 
• North Deerwood Drive between Spring Line Drive and the end of the cul-de-sac 
• South Deerwood Drive between Spring Line Drive and the end of the cul-de-sac 
• South New Street between Spring Line and General Howe Drives
