Each year SCORE Chester and Delaware Counties recognizes owners and entrepreneurs that have demonstrated unique vision, innovation, and achievement in support of the local economy and small business community.

Congratulations to the five 2023 Small Business Achievement Award winners honored on June 1 at a celebratory luncheon at the Penn Oaks Golf Club.

Meet Award-Winner Marina Lawrence, Life Maid Easy

Marina Lawrence is the founder and owner of Life Maid Easy.

Lawrence is proud to have shifted her business strategy to grow and expand with the insight and experience of her SCORE Mentor.

Life Maid Easy is a woman-owned residential and commercial cleaning company located in Philadelphia and the Lehigh Valley.

According to the company website, lifemaideasy.net, “Our specialty is giving people back their free time to pursue goals, spend time with family or to just relax… we all need that!”

Marina Lawrence, the founder, is a cleaning enthusiast who does not like to waste time. Her inspiration to start a cleaning company began when she realized the large impact a clean home has on our ability to enjoy our lives to the fullest.

A clean environment affects our mood, our ability to relax, and our ability to do the things that we want with our lives.

According to Lawrence, she “believes clean spaces help us to organize our mind and wellbeing… as well as loves automating and creating processes.” 

The need for Life Maid Easy was borne from the simple idea that a professional cleaning company can help our communities live happier lives.

Today

Looking forward in 2023, Lawrence and her business are doing well.  The business is thriving. Her customer base, number of cleaning technicians and number of office staff have all more than doubled.

The bottom line profit has improved by 245 percent over 2021. More importantly, she feels extremely confident in her ability to effectively manage all aspects of her business while being better able to balance her work and personal life.  This is even more critical as Lawrence was just married in June. 

Partially because of her marriage and subsequent move from Philadelphia to Allentown, Lawrence has successfully launched a second base of operations in the Lehigh County area.  After only a few months, the new location is growing rapidly. 

In the last quarter of 2022, the business has enjoyed record revenue and profit numbers with an outlook for continued growth especially in the new area.  Lawrence is rightfully proud of her accomplishments and looks forward to her future with great optimism.
