Gawthrop Greenwood attorney Lauren A. Nehra has been elected to the board of directors of the Chester County Food Bank, the central hunger relief organization in Chester County that serves more than 160 partner agencies and distributes nearly 3.5 million pounds of food to those in need throughout the county.

Nehra is a member of Gawthrop Greenwood’s Litigation Department, where she is licensed to practice in Pennsylvania and Delaware and specializes in matters including general civil litigation, guardianships and breaches of fiduciary duties. Nehra has lived in Chester County for over a decade and has personally observed food insecurity across the county’s diverse communities.

Prior to that, Nehra clerked with the Delaware Attorney General’s Office, where she worked in both the Criminal and Family Divisions, and was employed as a paralegal and law clerk with a civil defense firm in Wilmington, DE.

Nehra earned her law degree from Widener University Delaware Law School, magna cum laude. She presently serves as the Secretary/Treasurer of the Young Lawyers’ Division of the Chester County Bar Association, and is a member of the Delaware State Bar Association and Pennsylvania Bar Association. Nehra volunteers with The Garage Youth Center in Kennett Square and is active in the local chapter of the JDRF (Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation).
