Lamb McErlane Partner Appointed Chair of PA Civil Procedural Rules Committee
Lamb McErlane PC partner Maureen M. McBride has been appointed Chair of the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Civil Procedural Rules Committee.
The Civil Procedural Rules Committee, established in 1937, is the oldest of the PA Supreme Court’s rules committees. The Committee assists the PA Supreme Court in the preparation, revision, publication, and administration of the Rules of Civil Procedure.
At Lamb McErlane, McBride is co-chair of the firm’s Appellate Department and a member of the Litigation Department and Executive Committee. She concentrates her practice on appellate law and commercial litigation in state and federal courts.

McBride is a frequent speaker and presenter and has served on numerous Supreme Court and Bar Association committees. Most recently, she was a panelist for the Pennsylvania Bar Institute’s (PBI) 2023 Civil Litigation Update.
She currently serves as Co-Chair for the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s Appellate Advocacy Committee, which promotes communication and dialogue between the bench and the bar, and explores and makes recommendations to improve the rules of procedure that affect the appellate process.
McBride previously served on the Pennsylvania Supreme Court’s Rules of Evidence Committee, where she was Chair from 2016-2018 and on the Board of the Lawyers’ Fund for Client Security from 2005-2009. Additionally, she held a six-year term as a Hearing Committee member serving the Disciplinary Board of the Supreme Court of Pennsylvania.
McBride is named a 2023 Super Lawyer and has been recognized as a “Top 50 Women in Pennsylvania”, as well as one of the “Top 100 Philadelphia” lawyers.
