West Chester native Caroline Goggin, who currently works at WHDH in Boston, joined Action News at 6ABC as a reporter and anchor, writes Jeff Blumenthal for the Philadelphia Business Journal

“Life update: After three years working in Boston, and seven years in New England, I’m heading home,” announced Goggin on Twitter. “I’ve accepted an anchor/reporter job at 6ABC in Philly. If you know me, you know this is a dream come true. I grew up watching Channel 6. I am thrilled to be joining the team!”

Goggin graduated from Penn State University in 2014 and started her career at CBS affiliate WBNG that same year. In 2016 she moved to WPRI, also a CBS affiliate. In July 2020, she joined WHDH as a reporter.

Goggin, who survived a stroke in October 2019 at the age of 27, has become an ardent advocate for the American Heart Association. In February of the following year, she was honored as one of the storytellers at the Southern New England chapter of the organization. Storytellers use their stories to encourage other individuals to learn and recognize the signs of stroke.
