Malvern resident, Westtown School basketball coach, and former managing partner of the Sixers Innovation Lab Seth Berger is kickstarting his latest project. As the Innovation lab comes to a close after seven years, Berger will be launching Potential Capital, writes John George for the Philadelphia Business Journal.

It’s a business-to-consumer venture capital fund to support fast-rising companies. Berger will serve as the managing partner. Rhyan Truett will join Berger in the operations of the venture capital fund. She was the former director of operations at the Innovation Lab.

“We have had an opportunity to work with bright entrepreneurs across gaming, sports, consumer packaged goods, technology, and more. We are excited for what’s to come,” said Berger.

In addition to Potential Capital and the Innovation Lab, Berger was also the co-founder and CEO of the Paoli-based basketball shoe and apparel company And1.

The fund has already made its first investments in multiple projects including in-home product testing platform Highlight, feminine health apparel company Oya Femtech Apparel, fintech platform Mobility Capital Finance Inc., technology service Roomie, and fin-tech platform Muse Tax.
