Habitat for Humanity of Chester County’s second annual Hops for Homes beer festival will be held on June 17 from 12 PM – 4 PM at the Exton Square Mall.

This event is a summer day of fun, enjoying local breweries, wine, food, and entertainment, all while supporting a fantastic cause in the community. It aims to raise money for materials to build affordable homes in Chester County. It is rain-or-shine with tent coverage available. This event is for anyone 21 and over and designated driver tickets are available.

“All the proceeds from this event go towards helping us build quality, affordable housing in our community,” said Christy Kane, Director of Development and Marketing at Habitat for Humanity of Chester County. “Affordable housing doesn’t just impact the family in the home, it impacts our entire community.”

Some of the 20+ participating breweries include:

  • VK Brewing Co. and Eatery
  • Imprint Beer Co.
  • La Cabra Brewing
  • Suburban Brewing Company
  • Deer Creek Malthouse
  • Von C Brewing
  • And more!

In addition to these breweries, Harvest Ridge Winery will attend the event, selling wine by the glass, and Epicurean Garage will sell wine and cocktails. Designated Drivers can enjoy free mocktails from Epicurean Garage and tea provided by Deercreek Malthouse at the event. Tea and water will also be available while supplies last.

“I’m really excited about how much we’ve grown the event since our first one last year. For example, last year, we only had 9 breweries and this year, we’ve expanded to 21 breweries, a distillery, and two wineries,” said Kane.

Von C Brewing, who is attending this year, just won the Gold Medal award at the 2023 World Beer Cup for their OG Pills. And they were named “One of the Best Breweries in the World You Haven’t Heard Of” by Men’s Journal.

Two food trucks have signed on for the festival thus far, On the Roll Food Truck and Natalie’s Fine Foods Catering, with many additional food vendors. Vendors for crafts, food, and more include Whimsical Wonders by Kris, The Trusty Doodle, Frank’s Fine Swine and Beef, and Got Chocolate Inc.

This year, Hops for Homes will include a new Pretzel Necklace contest sponsored by the Exton Region Chamber of Commerce and a Corn Hole contest sponsored by Tri M Group. Live music from local band VooDoo DaVille will be playing. And don’t forget, Habitat’s signature Building A Thirst coupon books will be on sale at the event, featuring free beverage coupons at 20+ of participating breweries.
