A lake in Chester County is being recognized as one of the best places in Pennsylvania for a long-beloved outdoor activity of bass fishing, writes Brian Whipkey for GoErie.

Marsh Creek Lake, within Marsh Creek State Park in Upper Uwchlan and Wallace Townships, was listed amongst several large reservoirs in Pennsylvania where the sport is enjoyed.

As a popular destination for local residents and visitors to the area, the lake and its park have plenty of ways to enjoy the outdoors, including fishing, hiking, boating, and paddle boarding.

As fishers begin to search for new spots for their upcoming catch, the 535-acre lake is one of many guaranteed to become a new favorite for those visiting. You can get out onto the water with electric-powered boats from its two launch areas or use the nice breeze to aid a sailboat.

“Marsh Creek Lake is an excellent lake to fish for warm-water species. Anglers have landed 40-inch-long tiger muskies. Common species are Largemouth bass, Channel catfish, Black crappie, and Panfish,” details the park website.
