Outstanding achievements and significant contributions to the Chester County community are what makes a leader, or in this case, a superstar.

On Thursday evening at Penn State Great Valley in Malvern, over 300 attendees arrived with this thought in mind as VISTA Today honored its 2023 Class of VISTA Millennial Superstars.

As part of the program, the 40 VISTA Millennial Superstars – who represent a wide range of industries, including nonproft, finance, law, education, banking, technology, medicine, and more – were asked whom their superstars are. Many of them identified their significant others, coworkers, parents, children, and supervisors who helped to shape them into the people they are today.

VISTA Today, in partnership with Penn State Great Valley, FourStone Partners, Wilmington University, Meridian Bank, and Chester County Hospital, were excited to honor Chester County’s future through the achievements of these superstars and benefit Handi-crafters Opportunity Center. An additional honor bestowed upon them was recognition by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania as determined by State Senator Carolyn Comitta.

Upon arrival, guests enjoyed appetizers, dinner, and desserts sponsored by Brumbaugh Wealth Management and drinks sponsored by Aqua Pennsylvania. Furthermore, Penn State Great Valley’s campus provided a wonderful indoor and outdoor space for mingling before the event.

For the fourth consecutive year, VISTA Today was inundated with nominations that highlighted the achievements of local millennials who are working hard in their fields, breaking down barriers, and doing all that they can to see Chester County shine. Keynote speaker Laura Manion, President and CEO of the Chester County Chamber of Business and Industry, noted the dedication and resilience of this class for all their accomplishments.

“We had a beautiful night to celebrate with the VISTA Superstars. The Penn State Great Valley Conference Center was a wonderful venue and there was so much positive energy in the room,” said Kim McGuane, President of American Community Journals. “It was very moving and inspiring to hear each honoree share who the superstar in their life is and why.”

Four years after launching the VISTA Millennial Superstars initiative, VISTA Today has recognized a total of 160 professionals from all walks of life and every corner of the county whose work and selflessness ensure a bright future for Chester County.
