Former Downingtown East Star Signs Deal with Miami Dolphins

Tyler Kroft, a former star at Downingtown East High School, has signed a one-year deal with the Miami Dolphins, writes Gustav Elvin for The Philadelphia Inquirer

The Dolphins are the 30-year-old tight end’s fifth NFL team. Last season, he played for the San Francisco 49ers. 

In 2015, Kroft, who played wide receiver and tight end in high school, was a third-round draft pick by Cincinnati. He played with the Bengals for four seasons before he signed with Buffalo in 2019. Before joining San Francisco last spring, he played the 2021 season with the New York Jets. 

He has played 92 career games. In them, he has made 105 receptions for 1,081 yards as well as 13 touchdowns. His best season was in 2017.
