Where Do You Go in Chester County for ‘More Attainable’ New Housing?

It’s no secret that the Chester County housing market has been on a rollercoaster ride over the past few years. This volatility has made it difficult for buyers and sellers alike to predict what’s going to happen next. One of the most important questions within this industry is how to make housing more affordable. For many people, owning a home is simply out of reach.
The good news is that there are a number of options under construction in Chester County. While they don’t qualify under government standards as affordable housing, they do fall into a category we will call “more attainable” housing. These home models hover slightly above and below the median home price in Chester County, which is $474,959 according to Zillow.
So, Where Do Buyers Go for More Attainable Housing?
They can start by heading west — to the western side of Chester County. That’s where you’ll find several communities, for which Nave Newell provided planning, surveying, landscape architectural, and civil engineering services. They include close to 400 townhomes and over 100 manufactured homes. With single-family homes stretching the limits of affordability, real estate developers and homebuilders are turning to townhome developments and even manufactured home communities to meet buyers’ needs.
