Twenty-two-year-old Temple University senior Renieal Campbell is also a beauty queen and drill sergeant in the reserves of the U.S. Army, writes Brittany Leitner for Elite Daily.

Campbell, who is a first-generation American, was crowned Miss Pennsylvania Earth USA in 2022 and is about to graduate with a degree in health studies.

Campbell had just gotten out of advanced individual training in the Army when it was time to decide on a school which to apply. She was wavering between West Point and Temple University, but Temple’s closeness to home and diversity won her over.

Over the past four years, she has fallen in love with Philadelphia and its food.

“I’m a big foodie,” said Campbell. “New Yorkers will probably destroy me in a second for saying [this], but [Philadelphia is] like another New York. There are a lot of different melting pots.

“If you want to get good barrio tacos, go to La Mula Terca. If you want a good Philly cheesesteak, I’d say Pat’s is the best.”

After graduating, Campbell is planning on opening her own food-industry business, Rennie’s Rolled Ice Cream.
