People’s Light is preparing for a memorable evening in Malvern. The annual Spring Gala will take place on Saturday, March 18, from 6 – 10 PM. The theme is “Shine Brighter: Accessibility for ALL.”

The event will be emceed by acclaimed Philadelphia artists Alex Bechtel and Jennifer Childs, the duo behind the most recent People’s Light panto, Alice in Wonderland.

At 8 PM, a star-studded performance will feature artists Daphne Rubin-Vega, Zonya Love, and Mitch Chakour.

Rubin-Vega is a two-time Tony nominee who starred in Rent’s Original Broadway Cast and the recent film adaptation of In the Heights. Love, actor-musician who showcased her phenomenal voice on Broadway in The Color Purple, also made herself known regionally in the smash hit Lights Out: Nat “King” Cole. Finally, esteemed musician Chakour was Joe Cocker’s music director. He has performed with everyone from Bonnie Raitt to B.B. King to James Brown.

Tickets are $125 and grant entry to the performance and post-show champagne and dessert reception. Higher support levels include cocktails and dinner at The Farmhouse before the performance, and other benefits. All proceeds benefit arts accessibility initiatives.

Tickets and sponsorships are available here.
