The Chester County Economic Development Council (CCEDC) has announced that 25 international business experts will serve on the Pennsylvania Global Business Advisors (GBA), a world-class, private sector, B2B advisory board.

Experts involved in the GBA come from businesses such as Fox Rothschild, Villanova University, Fulton Bank, PA Department of Agriculture, World Trade Centers in Philadelphia and Harrisburg, and more.

The board will assist regional and international companies looking to expand imports, exports, foreign direct investment, and international partnerships. As a B2B source of expertise, it will help leverage but not replace free and low-cost assistance available from federal, state, and regional trade organizations. GBA will refer companies to these organizations and offer GBA member services.

“What makes Pennsylvania Global Business Advisors truly unique – with nothing else like it in Pennsylvania – is that its members are almost entirely from the private sector, we receive zero government funding and focus exclusively on international trade and investment,” said program director Wilfred Muskens. “We’ve also expanded our reach to include not only the Greater Philadelphia area but the entire state of Pennsylvania.”

Muskens is the Honorary Consul in Philadelphia for the Kingdom of the Netherlands and former Deputy Secretary for the Office of International Business Development for the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Additional international business experts come from Chester, Delaware, and Montgomery counties, with more to be added in coming weeks.

The partnership will help to build the region’s businesses globally and make their mark in markets around the world. Areas of expertise include real estate, law, education, logistics, and more. Free and fee-based aid will depend on clients’ needs and work.
