See Where This Squash Player from Wayne Ranks in Country, Worldwide
Hailing from Wayne, Todd Harrity is making a name for himself in the world of squash. He’s earned the title of the 5th best player in the country, and ranks 39th in the world, writes Michael Bradley for Main Line Today.
The Princeton alum has been athletic all his life. When attending the Episcopal Academy in Newtown Square, Harrity was considered one of the best cross-country runners and excelled in tennis. But squash was his true love.
He’s been playing the British sport since he was 12 years old. His talent for the century-old game followed him to Princeton, where he earned all-American titles for four years and was named the Ivy League Player of the Year.
After graduation, Harrity pursued a professional career, tearing his way through many events and competitions and coming out on top.
“His technique is almost flawless,” said his colleague, Timmy Brownell. “There are not many holes in his swing. That allows him to place the ball wherever he wants. He also moves quite lightly on his feet. He has no weaknesses.”
