Be sure to join the Delaware County Symphony Feb. 5 in Aston for its second chamber concert of the 2022-2023 season featuring classical greats and their artistic inspirations.

The program includes Mozart’s String Quartet No. 21 in D major which was inspired by Joseph Haydn’s style and is dedicated to the King of Prussia.

Aaron Copland’s Quiet City, featuring English horn and trumpet, was inspired by an Irwin Shaw play.

Completing the program is a performance of Beethoven’s String Quartet Op. 18, No. 5. Beethoven modeled this quartet directly on a Mozart quartet of the same key, and it is dedicated to Bohemian aristocrat, Joseph Franz Maximilian, 7th Prince of Lobkowitz.

The Chamber Concert titled, Artistic Inspirations, is Feb. 5, 3 PM, in Neumann University’s Meagher Theatre.

Tickets for the Artistic Inspirations concert may be purchased at dcsmusic.org/tickets
