Partners in Outreach, a volunteer-run nonprofit that serves children and families throughout Chester County, will be hosting Laughs for Literacy at Uptown! Knauer Performing Arts Center in West Chester on Nov. 18.
Beginning at 6:30 PM, Laughs for Literacy is the only major “fun-raiser” held by the nonprofit. It raises awareness and funds for the needs of children in the area. Proceeds go towards providing clothing, books, supplies, and tutoring to those who need it most.
The Alice in Wonderland-themed event offers comedy, raffle prizes, the chance to sponsor, and more. Comedians include Erin Maguire, a New York City-based stand-up comic, actor, writer, and emcee, Richie Byrne, a long-time veteran of stage, screen and stand-up, and Joe Matarese, who started doing standup at the age of twenty in Philadelphia.
All ticket purchases will automatically enter you into the raffle drawing that include diamond earrings, airline tickets, a restaurant gift package, and Pennsylvania Lottery tickets.
Hurry, hurry! Don’t be late to paint the roses red by purchasing a ticket to the show.
