S&T Bank’s mission is to build relationships rooted in excellent performance and long-standing trust. Founded in 1902, the bank endeavors to be a reliable resource, a family advisor, a financial anchor, and a source of civic pride across its Pennsylvania, Ohio, and New York footprint.

October is Cybersecurity Awareness month. S&T Bank aims to help protect clients and their identities through participating in a CyberCrunch event.

In order to maintain this mission, the bank will hold the CyberCrunch event on Thursday, Oct. 20 from 9 AM — 12 PM. Located at the East Falls Branch at 4341 Ridge Avenue in Philadelphia, you can bring hard drives to the event to be properly destroyed and recycled. It will be held rain or shine.

“At S&T Bank, safeguarding customer information is a top priority. We strive to educate our customers on safeguards to protect their financial and personal information and to prevent them from becoming a victim of identify theft and financial scams,” said Kevin Dodds, EVP Chief Security Officer.

Data and hard drives will be shredded onsite while you watch. Accepted items include desktops, laptops, hard drives, cell phones, and tablets. Items that will not be accepted include TV’s, monitors, paper, any types of tapes, bulbs, or batteries.

“The bank provides educational materials on our website and at our branches. We are pleased to partner with CyberCrunch, offering these events to the public as part of our program to prevent stolen data. Our goal is to help keep your sensitive information such as social security numbers, bank account records, and other identifying data, found on hard drives and data devices from falling into the wrong hands,” said Dodds.
