Golftoberfest Coming Oct. 20 Benefits Safe Harbor Inc. of Chester County

Enjoy time on the golf course while contributing to a good cause at the Golftoberfest Fundraiser, Thursday, Oct. 20, at Ron Jaworski’s Downingtown Country Club at 93 Country Club Drive in Downingtown.

The day’s outing benefits Safe Harbor of Chester County.

Check-in, registration, and practice begin at 10:30 a.m. on Oct. 20.

Lunch will be offered at 11 a.m. and the Shot Gun Start is at noon.

A cocktail party and an awards ceremony will begin after gameplay, concluding at about 6:30 p.m.

Registration is $350 for individual golfers, $1,200 for a Golf Foursome, and $200 for a Hole Sponsorship. Registration includes beverages, lunch, the cocktail party, prizes, and the awards ceremony.

The Scramble format event is presented by Forethought, Inc.  The Golftoberfest will include a $10,000 Hole in One contest, Longest Drive contest, and Closest to the Pin contest.

Proceeds from the Golftoberfest will benefit the emergency shelter and community programs of Safe Harbor.

About Safe Harbor

Safe Harbor of Chester County, located in West Chester, is a nonprofit organization working to feed, provide emergency housing and provide access to support services to Chester County residents in need.

Since 1995, Safe Harbor has been supporting men and women experiencing homelessness, creating short-term action plans to address the challenges individuals face.

Safe Harbor monitors the progress of the person experiencing homelessness with a goal to rebuild lives and life skills, reestablish self-esteem and help people overcome issues preventing them from leading independent, productive lives.
