Your Next Hiking Day May Await at French Creek State Park
French Creek State Park, which is spread across Chester County and neighboring Berks and Robeson counties, is an ideal place to spend a day while enjoying beautiful nature, writes Eric Henderson for the PhillyBite Magazine.
The 7,977-acre park, which is surrounded by French Creek, is a former industrial site that has been restored over the years to forests and wildlife habitats. It now offers more than 35 miles of hiking trails, diverse wildlife, a swimming pool, and a playground for the kids.
Most of the trails are one to two miles long and suitable for both hiking and mountain biking. The weather is also generally warm, making the area ideal for camping, hiking, and biking.
