Aqua Pennsylvania has announced that a $1.1 million main replacement project is underway in Westtown Township. This investment is part of Aqua’s continuing infrastructure improvement program to improve reliability for customers throughout Chester County.

Crews recently began working to replace 5,400 feet of aging eight-inch cement pipe with new eight-inch ductile iron water main on Johnny’s Way between South Chester Road and Evie Lane.

Aqua’s work is expected to be completed in August, weather permitting. Final road restoration is expected to be completed in September.

The new water main will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.

Aqua Pennsylvania serves approximately 1.5 million people in 32 counties throughout the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. Visit AquaAmerica.com for more information or follow Aqua on Facebook at facebook.com/MyAquaAmerica and on Twitter at @MyAquaAmerica.
