Aqua Pennsylvania has announced that $2.4 million in infrastructure improvement projects are underway in East Goshen and Westtown townships. These upgrades will improve reliability for customers throughout Chester County.

Crews are at work on a $1.4 million project in East Goshen Township to replace about 7,100 feet of aging eight-inch cement pipe with new eight-inch ductile iron water main on the following streets:

  • Lochwood Lane between East Strasburg and Waterview roads
  • Waterview Road between West Chester Pike and Lochwood Lane
  • Glenbrook Lane between Waterview Road and the end of the cul-de-sac

Aqua’s work is expected to be completed this month, weather permitting. Final road restoration is expected to be completed in June.

In Westtown Township, crews are working on a $1 million project to replace about 4,800 feet of aging six-inch cement pipe with new eight-inch and 12-inch ductile iron water main on the following streets:

  • Kimberly Lane between General Howe and General Howe drives
  • Sharon Circle between General Howe and General Howe drives

Aqua’s work is expected to be completed this month, weather permitting. Final road restoration is expected to be completed in June.

The new water mains will reduce the potential for main breaks and discolored water and improve water flow in the area.
