The Chester County Food Bank, a nonprofit based in Exton, mobilizes the community to ensure access to real, healthy food. The Food Bank works with 150-plus agency partners every year to distribute more than three million pounds of food to 10 percent of Chester County’s residents. The organization also provides educational opportunities to engage the community in hands-on learning experiences. 

Mobile Market Associate 

This position is a member of the Fresh2You team who supports all aspects of market operations and plays a significant role in increasing access to healthy foods throughout Chester County. Responsibilities include supporting and/or leading mobile market operations and maintaining Fresh2You warehouse operations. 

An ideal candidate must be at least 21 years old, have a willingness and ability to operate mobile market vehicles, have a clean driving record, and operate other warehouse machinery.

Development Associate 

This position assists in the creation and execution of a comprehensive strategy to retain and expand the number of donors to CCFB’s annual fund. Responsibilities include identifying and cultivating individual and organizational donors, creating and managing social media appeals, and developing and implementing stewardship plans. 

An ideal candidate must have a bachelor’s degree and three years of relevant experience. Additionally, candidates must have excellent interpersonal skills and Microsoft Office skills and be detail-oriented.

Kitchen Associate 

This position is responsible for receiving, storing, staging, and processing fresh produce. Responsibilities include facilitating the daily processing of fresh produce in CCFB’s Processing Kitchen, coordinating with staff for program needs, supervising volunteer shifts, and maintaining inventory. 

An ideal candidate must have a high school diploma or equivalent and necessary certifications. Candidates will preferably have a bachelor’s degree in a related field and a background in gardening, farming, or produce handling.
