Malvern resident Alex Mann, 21, recently made his 150th stop at a law enforcement agency, where he is spreading awareness and educating first responders on autism, writes Jared Weaver for WeAreCentralPa.com. 

Mann, who lives with autism, has made it his mission to visit as many agencies as possible to promote autism awareness. During his visits, he shared his perspective on how officers can better understand and interact with individuals who have an autism spectrum disorder. 

“I began visiting police departments in my area in 2018 to show my support and to also educate officers on autism awareness,” said Mann. 

His milestone visit was to the Pennsylvania State Police headquarters in Harrisburg. There, he was presented with a certificate of appreciation for his outreach and commitment to education by Colonel Robert Evanchick. 

“I want to personally thank Mr. Alex Mann for reaching out to the Pennsylvania State Police,” said Evanchick. “I applaud him for spreading his message of autism awareness to help law enforcement agencies throughout the state.” 

During his visit, Mann also took a tour of the academy grounds and got the chance to speak with state police officers.
