The Chester County OIC (Opportunities Industrialization Center) is partnering with the Coatesville 2nd Century Alliance to offer a Work Enclave entitled “A Beautification Initiative for 19320.”

The Enclave is a five-week, paid ambassador program for residents in the 19320 ZIP Code. The sessions will start on Jan. 31 or Feb. 7 and run from 9 AM-3:30 PM. Participants will go through a competitive interviewing process, and those selected will earn $15 an hour. At the end of the five weeks, those who are work-ready will move forward as candidates for local jobs with great pay and benefits.

To learn more about the Work Enclave, text 19320 to 484-378-9033 or fill out this registration.

“The Work Enclave not only supports the City of Coatesville, but it will produce upskilled workers for our local region through real work and workforce training opportunities,” said Joyce Chester, President of the Chester County OIC.

The Chester County OIC is a Coatesville-based nonprofit that serves the community through programs specifically designed to meet the job-training and employment needs of low-income or disadvantaged individuals.

“I think the beauty lies in the synergistic spirit of … our two organizations working together to benefit Coatesville residents and meet the respective goals of each initiative,” said Sonia Huntzinger, Executive Director of the 2nd Century Alliance. “This is a perfect illustration of where community development meets economic development. The two ultimately go hand-in-hand.”

Through the Work Enclave, the Chester County OIC will teach individuals work-readiness and character-building, then spend three hours each day beautifying the community with a group cleanup.
